On September 11, 2026, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Ho Chi Minh City Branch (VCCI-HCM) in Ho Chi Minh City successfully organized the conference titled "ESG Solutions Supporting Green Transition and Sustainable Corporate Development" at the Bình Dương Convention and Exhibition Center.
The conference was held to update participants on new international regulations regarding sustainable development, carbon emissions, and supply chain due diligence. Through these insights, the program provided practical solutions to help Vietnamese enterprises access green capital, enhance competitiveness, and build tailored green transition roadmaps in the era of integration.
At the event, Dr. Nam NGUYEN - CEO of KLINOVA delivered a key presentation titled: "ESG & International Standards: Shaping the Adaptation Roadmap for Vietnamese Enterprises".
In his speech, Dr. Nam NGUYEN highlighted the dual pressure facing Vietnamese businesses from increasingly strict export market requirements, such as the EU's CBAM, CSDDD, and CSRD, alongside traceability rules in the US and Japan, and green finance mandates, as banks prioritize capital allocation to companies with solid ESG practices and reporting. Meanwhile, ESG implementation in Vietnam remains limited, with 39% of enterprises having never heard of ESG and 60% lacking specific information and guidance. Based on this reality, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nam proposed a 5-step green transition roadmap: (1) Understanding & assessing regulations, (2) Greenhouse gas (GHG) accounting, (3) Building an ESG data system, (4) Managing supply chains, and (5) Developing a roadmap toward Net Zero.
The success of the conference extends beyond in-depth discussions; it opens up key advances in shaping and developing support solutions for corporate green transition and sustainable development.
