Ms. Hue Nguyen is a highly experienced climate change and sustainable development expert, currently serving as Project Director and Senior GHG Inventory Expert at KLINOVA Climate Innovation Consulting & Services. With a solid educational background in environmental science and policy, including a Master of Science in Biology from the University of Science, Hanoi National University, she has undergone extensive training in greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories, sustainability reporting, and climate resilience. This comprehensive training equips her to effectively address intricate environmental challenges effectively. She is recognized as a GHG and climate change expert at both national and international levels and is certified by the UNFCCC.
Ms. Hue has been involved in over 40 projects, working across local, national, and international scales. Her diverse clientele includes major development organizations like USAID, various UN agencies, and key governmental bodies such as Vietnam’s Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment (MONRE). This extensive experience reflects her versatility and the high level of trust clients place in her expertise.
Her projects cover diverse sectors, with key areas of expertise including GHG inventories, climate adaptation strategies, sustainable business practices, and capacity-building training programs. Noteworthy projects include the development of Vietnam's first Biennial Transparency Report (BTR) for MONRE. She has also played a critical role in the Supporting Sustainable Businesses to Create New Competitive Advantages project for USAID, focusing on promoting circular economy and sustainable business practices among Vietnamese local enterprises. At the international level, she has contributed to the UNFCCC’s International Consultation and Analysis (ICA) process, providing technical analysis of the Biennial Update Reports submitted by Micronesia and Thailand in the GHG inventories thematic area. Additionally, her involvement in the Capacity-Building to Support Developing Country Reporting Under the Paris Agreement project has been crucial in enhancing the capacity of developing countries to effectively report on greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and track their progress towards Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs).
