On September 18, 2025, at the Rex Hotel (Ho Chi Minh City), the Energy Innovation Forum 2025 (Session 2) was held under the organization of the Innovation Agency of the Ministry of Science and Technology, in collaboration with relevant partners, with the participation of leading experts, policymakers, and enterprises from across the energy sector.
With the theme “Innovation – Driving Force for Sustainable Energy Transition,” the forum highlighted some of the most pressing issues shaping Vietnam’s energy future, including national energy strategy, localization of energy conversion technologies, digital transformation, emission data analytics, pathways for smart transition, and financial mechanisms to spur innovation.
Representing the international corporate sector, Mr. Le Quang Vinh, the ASEAN Energy & Utilities Head at Advantech, introduced advanced emission data analytics tools that aim to support the green transition and promote transparent emissions management. Following his presentation, Mr. Ky Quang Minh, the Director of R&D at SolarBK, shared insights into the company’s innovation journey in solar energy and showcased a variety of smart energy transition solutions

Representing KLINOVA, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hue, Project Director, delivered a presentation on “Financial Mechanisms for Energy Innovation in Vietnam,” highlighting the barriers that make it difficult for businesses to access capital for green energy projects. She emphasized that green finance, together with instruments such as green bonds, carbon credits, and green investment funds, will be crucial in mobilizing both domestic and international capital.
Her presentation also put forward concrete recommendations, including integrating ESG criteria into banks’ appraisal processes for green projects, legalizing carbon credits, expanding credit guarantee and green investment funds, and establishing a mechanism that allows enterprises to trade electricity directly instead of exclusively through EVN. These measures, she stressed, would not only ease businesses’ access to finance but also create stronger incentives for clean energy projects to become feasible and sustainable in the long run.
The forum underscored that innovation is emerging as a key pillar in driving Vietnam’s energy transition. By aligning itself with this process, KLINOVA reaffirmed its commitment to being a strategic partner in providing consultancy and implementing solutions in climate finance, ESG, and energy innovation for enterprises across Vietnam.
