On 25 June 2026, KLINOVA was honored to contribute to the training workshop "Carbon Markets and CBAM", jointly organized by the GIZ Vietnam Energy Support Programme, the H2Uppp Project, and the Women in Energy Vietnam Network (WEVN) in Hanoi.
As Vietnam moves toward establishing its domestic carbon market and achieving its Net Zero commitment, while international climate policies such as the EU Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) continue to reshape global trade, strengthening the capacity of professionals and businesses has become increasingly important.
During the workshop, two KLINOVA experts shared practical knowledge and hands-on experience:
- Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nam – Climate Change and Carbon Market Expert
- MSc. Nguyen Thi Minh Hue – Greenhouse Gas Inventory, Carbon Market, and ESG Expert
The training focused on:
- An overview of domestic and international carbon markets;
- The latest developments in CBAM and its requirements for businesses;
- Opportunities and challenges for the energy sector in the green transition;
- Mitigation activities that can generate carbon credits and enable participation in carbon markets;
Practical exercises and case discussions to bridge theory and real-world application.
KLINOVA sincerely appreciates GIZ Vietnam, the H2Uppp Project, and WEVN for the opportunity to contribute to this meaningful capacity-building initiative.
We believe that strengthening the capacity of WEVN members will not only equip each participant to respond proactively to evolving global climate policies, but also help foster a stronger community of women professionals in the energy sector—one that is increasingly confident, well-connected, and empowered to contribute to Vietnam's energy transition and sustainable development.
