KLINOVA Participates in the Hydrogen Energy Forum and the Future of Zero-Emission Industry

Today, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hue, Project Director at KLINOVA, represented the company at the Hydrogen Energy Forum and the Future of Zero-Emission Industry, which brought together representatives from government agencies, research institutions, universities, businesses, and industry experts to discuss the role of hydrogen in advancing the energy transition and supporting the development of zero-emission industries in Viet Nam.

The forum provided valuable insights into global hydrogen development trends as well as Viet Nam's strategic direction for the sector. A key message emphasized throughout the discussions was that hydrogen should not be seen as a substitute for electrification, but rather as a complementary solution, particularly for decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors such as heavy industry, long-distance transport, maritime shipping, and aviation. Speakers also shared international experiences in developing the hydrogen value chain—from production, storage, and transportation to end-use applications—while highlighting the importance of enabling policies, technical standards, infrastructure, technological innovation, and financing mechanisms in fostering a sustainable hydrogen market.

Representing KLINOVA, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hue noted that hydrogen is not the only solution for the energy transition, but it will undoubtedly be one of the key pathways to decarbonizing sectors where emissions are particularly difficult to reduce. In her view, Viet Nam is well positioned to participate in the emerging hydrogen economy both regionally and globally. To seize this opportunity, the country should continue strengthening its policy and regulatory framework, technical standards, infrastructure, human resources, and financing mechanisms, while accelerating pilot projects and fostering collaboration among government, businesses, research institutions, and international partners to gradually build a robust hydrogen ecosystem.
