The session offered students a practical perspective on global health challenges in the context of climate change and sustainable development. They explored the interlinkages between the SDGs—particularly SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being—and key environmental factors such as air quality, water resources, energy, and climate change.
During the session, students actively engaged in group discussions, complemented by an insightful presentation from Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nam, KLINOVA’s representative and guest lecturer, who shared his perspectives on the Polluter Pays Principle, the impacts of climate change on public health, as well as emerging trends in research and policymaking within the health–environment nexus.
The lecture not only provided professional knowledge but also expanded students’ understanding of the interconnections among health sciences, environmental policy, and socio-economic development, encouraging them to recognize their role in building a sustainable society.
Dr. Nam emphasized that “protecting the environment means protecting human health,” and encouraged students to pursue careers in green innovation, climate-adaptive medicine, and sustainability, where professional opportunities are aligned with community and global values.
The session also reflected KLINOVA’s commitment to collaborating with universities, promoting climate education, and inspiring the young generation of Vietnam to take action—as future leaders in the country’s green transition and sustainable development.
