The Annual Vietnam New Economy Forum 2026 (#VNEF2026) was held on October 3, 2026, in Hanoi under the theme “Breakthrough Policies and Resilience of Localities and Enterprises.” Co-organized by the Central Policy and Strategy Commission, the Vietnam Economic Association, and the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI), the forum brought together policymakers, economic experts, international organizations, and business representatives to discuss new drivers for Vietnam’s growth in 2026 - 2030.
Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nam - CEO of KLINOVA Climate Consulting attended the forum to gain insights into emerging economic trends and contribute perspectives on sustainable transition strategies.
Key discussions focused on policy implementation, financial mobilization, and new growth models. Ms.Tehmina Khan, Senior Economist at the World Bank, highlighted the importance of narrowing the gap between regulations and implementation capacity. Mr. Pham Van Thinh, CEO of Deloitte Vietnam, discussed solutions to mobilize and effectively utilize an estimated VND 38.5 quadrillion in capital during 2026–2030 through a multi-tiered financial ecosystem. Meanwhile,BCG Vietnam presented opportunities to integrate tourism and modern retail, while VCCI and economic experts discussed local governance and improving the efficiency of investment capital.

A key takeaway from the forum was the need to move beyond policy formulation toward effective implementation. Diversifying long-term capital sources, particularly green finance, will be increasingly important for infrastructure development and energy transition. At the same time, stronger synergies across finance, technology, tourism, and retail, together with proactive local engagement, can contribute to new growth momentum.
Aligned with these trends, KLINOVA reaffirms its commitment to supporting Vietnamese localities and enterprises in their green transition journey through sustainable development strategy consulting, GHG inventory and mitigation, support in navigating emerging technical requirements, and access to green finance solutions.
