Accordingly, 2,166 enterprises are required to implement inventories, covering seven high-emission sectors: energy, transport, construction, industry, agriculture, land use – land-use change & forestry, and waste. This is a crucial step for Vietnam to deliver on its Net Zero commitment, but it also creates significant pressure on enterprises: not only to comply with stringent legal requirements but also to avoid the risks of losing investment opportunities and being excluded from global supply chains if emission data is not transparent. Many enterprises are still struggling with where to start, lacking both the methodology and skilled personnel to meet these new requirements.
Recognizing these challenges, KLINOVA is launching the “Practical GHG Inventory Training Program”, designed specifically to help enterprises comply with regulations while strengthening internal capacity in emission management. The course goes beyond theory, focusing on real-world applications so that participants can immediately apply what they learn to their daily business operations.
The program is structured to provide participants with internationally aligned knowledge and practical skills for GHG inventory. Rather than remaining theoretical, the content is enriched with real-world scenarios, exercises, and case studies that mirror actual business contexts. This enables participants to not only master the methods of identifying and analyzing emissions but also confidently apply them in practice.
KLINOVA’s strength lies in its blend of academic expertise and hands-on experience across enterprises, provinces, and industry sectors. The trainers have been directly involved in developing Vietnam’s national GHG inventory system, advising enterprises on compliance with emission reduction requirements, and bringing deep expertise in areas such as carbon markets, CBAM mechanisms, ESG, and sustainable development. This ensures that learners gain “practical” insights — not only theoretical knowledge but actionable skills to implement immediately in business operations.
The course covers 4 key modules:
Overview of greenhouse gases and GHG inventory
Regulations and standards on GHG inventory
Emission scopes and sources of GHGs
Methods, processes, and reporting of GHG inventory
The program runs for two full days, combined with a final test to assess learning outcomes and serve as the basis for official certification.
