DAAD alumni workshop: cooperation to develop research activities on sustainable development, esg, and climate change response in vietnam

As a co-organizer, KLINOVA is working together with the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Hanoi University of Mining and Geology, and the German-Vietnamese Intellectual Association (GEWA) to organize the DAAD Alumni Workshop, creating a platform for DAAD alumni, experts, researchers, university representatives, and organizations working in the fields of sustainable development, ESG, and green transition to connect and exchange knowledge.

The workshop, themed “Cooperation to Develop Research Activities on Sustainable Development, ESG, and Climate Change Response in Vietnam,” will be held on:
- Friday, September 18, 2026
- Room 101, Vietnamese - German Centre, Hanoi University of Science and Technology

The key discussion topics include:
- Opportunities for Vietnam - Germany research collaboration on ESG and global value chains.
- Practical perspectives on green transition and ESG consulting services in Vietnam.
- The Green Finance Education Program at Vietnam - Germany University (VGU).
- Teaching methods for environmental protection, ESG, and sustainable development.
- The application of Digital Twin in developing smart transportation in developing cities.
- Sustainable development orientations in mining and geology research in Vietnam.

In particular, the afternoon program will feature a Book Review session: “Implementing ESG Principles for Sustainable Businesses: A Practical Guide in Sustainability Management” along with a study tour to the Bat Trang Ceramic Museum.

Through its role in connecting stakeholders and fostering collaboration, the workshop aims to contribute to bringing research findings, initiatives, and international experience closer to practical applications in Vietnam; while also expanding the cooperation network among the DAAD Alumni community, universities, experts, businesses, and other stakeholders within the sustainable development ecosystem.

From research to practice, from individual connections to long-term collaboration, the workshop will provide a foundation for meaningful academic exchanges and future collaborative initiatives.
