Net Zero Coffee: Who Benefits from the Carbon Market

At the program, Dr. Nam NGUYEN - CEO of KLINOVA shared an overview of carbon credits, Vietnam’s regulatory framework for the carbon market, and the key stakeholders participating in the market.

Addressing questions raised during the program, Dr. Nam NGUYEN discussed the opportunities and challenges facing different carbon market participants, while also highlighting areas that require further clarification in the current carbon credit generation mechanism.
 

The program also brought together legislators, policymakers, sustainable development experts in forestry and forest management, and representatives from the media. The speakers engaged in an insightful discussion on the current landscape of carbon credit projects, highlighting their positive contributions to local livelihoods in particular and Vietnam’s broader carbon neutrality goals.

The discussion brought forward new perspectives and potential pathways, shedding light on key challenges facing Vietnam’s carbon market today while highlighting opportunities to further develop and improve the Vietnam Carbon Exchange in the future.

KLINOVA hopes that Vietnam’s pilot carbon market will be successfully implemented, laying a strong foundation for a transparent and effective carbon market that contributes meaningfully to the country’s sustainable development goals.
