As one of the seven founding members and official partners of the P4G Forum, Vietnam’s first-time hosting of this high-level summit marks a significant milestone in its journey of international integration and proactive contribution to global efforts for green growth and sustainable development.
This year’s Summit gathers the presence of numerous heads of state, senior officials, and leading experts from around the world. Distinguished guests include Prime Minister of Laos Sonexay Siphandone, Prime Minister of Ethiopia Abiy Ahmed, Deputy Prime Minister of Cambodia Sun Chanthol, and UN Deputy Secretary-General Amina J. Mohammed, alongside high-ranking representatives from prestigious international organizations such as the World Bank (WB), the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).

Also in attendance are Ministers of Environment, Energy, and Trade from P4G member countries; representatives from financial institutions, non-governmental organizations, research institutes, and hundreds of global enterprises active in innovation, energy transition, and sustainable development.
Notably, the opening ceremony featured keynote addresses by General Secretary Tô Lâm and Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính, underscoring Vietnam’s strong commitment and determination toward green transformation and its increasingly important role in international cooperation forums.
In his remarks, Prime Minister Phạm Minh Chính emphasized that P4G has emerged as a leading global platform promoting public-private partnerships and mobilizing resources from governments, businesses, and civil society to seek breakthrough solutions for green growth. He noted: “A green economy needs green businesses, a green society needs green citizens, and a green world needs green nations.”
General Secretary Tô Lâm also addressed the opening ceremony, affirming that Vietnam’s hosting of the Summit reflects its position as a reliable and responsible partner in the international community. He also reiterated Vietnam’s commitment to sustainable development, energy transition, and the goal of carbon neutrality by 2050, while advocating for greater voice and participation of developing countries in shaping global green agendas.

Before the opening ceremony, delegates attended the "Green Growth" Exhibition — a notable highlight within the Summit’s framework. The exhibition brought together booths from P4G member countries and partners, showcasing outstanding products, models, and initiatives aimed at sustainable development.
The booths presented a wide range of green ideas and solutions across multiple sectors including clean technology, smart agriculture, ecological services, renewable energy, and circular economy models. These exhibits represent the outcomes of collaborative efforts among businesses, organizations, and individuals supported by P4G and its partners through investment, technical assistance, and strategic consulting.
More than a display space, the exhibition served as a hub for idea exchange, collaboration, and dissemination of the green development message — fostering partnerships for action-oriented solutions.
By organizing the P4G Summit 2025, Vietnam demonstrates its determination to accelerate the transformation of its development model, implement international commitments on greenhouse gas emissions reduction, tackle climate change, promote technological advancement and innovation. The Summit also marks a concrete step forward in enhancing Vietnam’s global standing and leadership, particularly as the world moves towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals by 2030.
