In the context of increasing emphasis on sustainable development, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards are becoming key factors in helping businesses enhance their competitive advantage in the market.
To promote awareness and support businesses in better integrating ESG practices, the Agency for Enterprise Development (AED) under the Ministry of Planning and Investment (MPI) conducted a survey through the USAID-funded project "Improving Private Sector Competitiveness" (IPSC). The project is implemented in collaboration with KLINOVA Climate Innovation Consulting & Services Joint Stock Company, which serves as the lead technical consultant throughout the process.
The survey focuses on four main objectives:
(1) Assessing ESG awareness,
(2) Analyzing the current state of ESG practices,
(3) Identifying barriers that enterprises face when approaching ESG practices, and
(4) Synthesizing recommendations from enterprises to improve ESG practices.
