Speakers in the panel discussion session
Participating directly in the panel with economists and business leaders, Dr. Nguyễn Phương Nam, CEO of KLINOVA, emphasized that what private businesses truly expect is not financial incentives, but a fair and transparent business environment. He shared: “What they need most is to be treated equally, like state-owned enterprises, like FDI companies.”

He also stressed the importance of combining digital transformation and green transition. According to him, flexibility, a key strength of small and medium-sized enterprises, can only be effective when supported by clear and reliable data.
Sharing the same reform spirit, economist Phạm Chi Lan suggested that instead of assigning major projects directly to state-owned enterprises, there should be an open and fair competition mechanism among all economic sectors to improve real efficiency.

The seminar shared a common view: industrialization in this new era is no longer a straight line, it requires integration between traditional production and advanced technology, between economic growth and environmental protection, and between domestic capacity and international cooperation.
To move forward, Vietnam needs to build a complete ecosystem where private businesses are not just supporting players, but become key drivers of development. The government plays a facilitative role, creating fair and transparent rules, while businesses must actively adapt, follow the trends, and boldly transform to create real added value.
Closing the event, Dr. Nguyễn Phương Nam shared an inspiring message for businesses: “Without optimism, we wouldn’t dare to take action. And without taking action, breakthroughs will never happen.”
