What do you know about GRI: A credible global sustainability reporting framework?

12:02 | 23/09/2024
Sustainability reporting is becoming increasingly important to businesses and is now an essential part of their annual reporting, alongside financial reports. One widely-used measure for assessing a company's sustainability is the GRI Standards, developed by the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI).

The GRI Standards help businesses understand and disclose the relationship between their economic activities and sustainability practices, aiming for a more sustainable global economy. Through GRI Standards, it is hoped that companies will transparently report their business activities, including data reflecting their social and environmental responsibilities.

The GRI framework is applicable to all businesses and organizations, regardless of their size or scope of operations. Currently, the GRI Standards consist of over 30 Sustainability Reporting Standards. These standards are specifically revised and updated every three years to keep pace with new developments in the market.

Although GRI is still relatively new in Vietnam, it has already become a widely recognized standard for assessing sustainability in business operations in many developed countries. At KLINOVA, we offer services related to sustainability reporting that align with the GRI Standards, helping businesses effectively disclose their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) impacts.
