KLINOVA partners with EPLegal to co-organize seminar on Vietnam’s energy sector outlook and project risk management

12:30 | 27/05/2026

As Vietnam accelerates its energy transition pathway and advances toward its Net Zero commitment by 2050, the country’s energy sector is expected to enter a new phase of growth marked by significant investment opportunities alongside increasing legal, financial, ESG, and project risk management requirements.

Within the framework of Vietnam Arbitration Week 2026 (VAW 2026), KLINOVA and EPLegal will jointly organize the seminar titled “Vietnam Energy Outlook 2026: Opportunities, Challenges and Project Risk Management”, aiming to create a multidisciplinary dialogue platform for legal experts, investors, energy businesses, and development organizations to discuss emerging trends shaping Vietnam’s energy market during the 2026–2030 period.

The seminar will focus on key topics including investment opportunities in renewable energy and energy transition, legal and financial risks in project development, long-term operational governance, as well as practical issues relating to energy disputes and ESG in the context of Vietnam’s rapidly evolving energy landscape.

Bringing together experts from legal, arbitration, energy, ESG, and sustainable development sectors, the event will provide practical insights into energy planning, financing for energy transition, project risk management, ESG compliance, and dispute resolution mechanisms in the energy sector.

Representing KLINOVA at the seminar will be Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nam, Founder and Director General of KLINOVA, an expert in climate change, ESG, green finance, and carbon credits with more than 18 years of experience working with international organizations including the UN, ADB, WB, GIZ, and JICA. During the seminar, Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nam will share perspectives on emerging ESG and sustainability trends in the energy sector, as well as new expectations and requirements facing businesses and investors amid the ongoing energy transition.

The seminar will also feature distinguished speakers and industry leaders including Dr. Tony Nguyen Trung Nam (EPLegal), Mr. Phan Trong Dat (EPLegal), Dr. Du Van Toan (IMHEMS), Mr. Do Duc Tuong (UNDP), Mr. Le Cong Minh (Anvelo Singapore), Dr. Nguyen Toan Thang (Sovico), and Mr. Nguyen Ngoc Luan (Gas South JSC).

Through this seminar, KLINOVA and EPLegal aim to foster practical dialogue on sustainable energy development in Vietnam while supporting businesses in strengthening project risk management capacity, enhancing ESG readiness, and effectively capturing opportunities arising from the country’s energy transition.
