On December 19 in Ho Chi Minh City, the Vietnam Sustainable Construction Forum - VSCF 2025 (Vietnam Sustainable Construction Forum) officially opened, attracting over 500 delegates from state management agencies, expert communities, and the business community.

VSCF 2025 is organized and chaired by the Ho Chi Minh City Construction and Building Materials Association (SACA), with the patronage and accompaniment of the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry VCCI along with professional organizations domestically and internationally. The Forum is positioned as an annual national-scale event, playing the role of a policy dialogue platform - connecting enterprises - promoting green transformation for Vietnam's Construction sector.
The Construction sector currently accounts for a large proportion in the consumption of resources, energy, and greenhouse gas emissions, while holding a key role in infrastructure development, urban areas, and economic growth. In the context of Vietnam's commitment to achieving net "zero" emissions by 2050, the requirement to restructure the Construction sector toward green, circular, and responsible directions becomes more urgent than ever. Responding to this urgent need, VSCF 2025 was born as an open and substantial dialogue space among the public, private and academic sectors, where policies, strategies, models and sustainable development solutions are shared, reviewed and proposed in a systematic manner.

The Forum focuses on the core pillars of sustainable development in the Construction sector, including policies and legal frameworks for green construction; the ESG transformation process at construction and building materials enterprises; application of advanced technology and environmentally friendly materials; green finance and carbon credit markets; sustainable urban construction and climate change-adaptive infrastructure; along with the role of the private sector in realizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
With over 30 speakers who are leaders of management agencies, leading experts, entrepreneurs and representatives of international organizations, the discussion sessions at VSCF 2025 are highly practical, oriented toward feasible solutions for enterprises and localities.

Within the framework of expert discussion sessions, KLINOVA participated in contributing in-depth perspectives on sustainable finance for the Construction sector. Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nam presented a paper with the topic "Applying the green bond framework to sustainable construction activities in Vietnam," focusing on clarifying the role of green bonds in mobilizing long-term capital sources for green construction projects, sustainable infrastructure, as well as requirements regarding management frameworks, capital use and impact reporting according to international practices.
According to the Organizing Committee, VSCF 2026 is expected to be held in Hanoi, expanding the dialogue space at the national level, strengthening connections with central ministries and sectors, international organizations and the northern business community, toward forming a sustainable development ecosystem for the entire Vietnamese Construction sector.
