On April 16, 2026, the Ho Chi Minh City Green Business Association (HGBA) formally celebrated its first anniversary, marking an important milestone in its journey to advance the business community toward sustainable development.
One year since its establishment, HGBA has evolved from an initial networking initiative into an increasingly structured platform, bringing together companies committed to sustainability. Beyond serving as a connector, the Association is gradually fostering a collaborative environment where businesses can access knowledge, resources, and advanced ESG practices.
A notable aspect of this journey is HGBA’s ability to encourage multi-stakeholder engagement-from businesses and experts to advisory and innovation organizations. This approach not only expands the ecosystem in scale but also deepens its impact, addressing practical challenges faced by companies in their green transition.
Within this structure, the role of leading individuals and organizations has been particularly significant. Dr. Nguyen Phuong Nam, CEO of KLINOVA and Vice Chairman of HGBA, has been among those actively contributing to shaping the Association’s strategic direction. Through KLINOVA, initiatives related to ESG advisory, greenhouse gas inventory, transition roadmap development, and resource mobilization have been advanced in a more structured and practical manner.
The contributions of organizations like KLINOVA to HGBA’s overall progress also reflect a growing trend: green transition is no longer an isolated effort by individual businesses, but requires a supportive ecosystem-where knowledge, tools, and finance are integrated to drive tangible impact.
While HGBA may not yet represent a fully mature ecosystem, it has laid critical groundwork. The next phase will focus on activating these connections more effectively, delivering concrete value for businesses and contributing to Vietnam’s broader sustainable development agenda.
