LEAN LEARNING ORGANISATIONS AND INTEGRATING ESG INTO CORE BUSINESS PRIORITIES

On November 14th, Respect Vietnam and the Australian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (AUSCHAM Vietnam) hosted the seminar “Lean ESG in learning organisations, integrating ESG into core business priorities” in Hanoi. The event brought together managers, investors, business leaders, and ESG and sustainability experts.

The conference focused on the role and challenges of integrating ESG into business, highlighting two key factors to enhance ESG performance at the company level including LEAN mindset and Organizational Learning, and how to integrate ESG into core business operations. As a guest speaker, Mr. Tran Quang Tien, ESG expert at KLINOVA JSC presented case studies and lean ESG practices, guiding organizations on how to optimize the ESG integration process effectively and emphasizing the importance of embedding ESG into core business strategies.

The event was a valuable opportunity for businesses seeking to embrace ESG, connect with experts, and accelerate success by integrating ESG into their core strategies.

OVERVIEW OF TRACEABILITY TOOLS AND DISCUSSION ON EUDR TECHNICAL ISSUES

On November 15th, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hue, Project Director, and Mr. Do Anh Minh, Sustainability Expert from KLINOVA JSC, participated in the technical exchange on EUDR organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the Delegation of EU to Vietnam, and GIZ. The conference gathered over 200 participants from government, private sector, industry associations, and NGOs in Vietnam.

The conference provided insights into open-source traceability tools, usage guidance, and solutions to technical issues in EUDR compliance in Vietnam. EUDR aims to reduce global deforestation and contribute to sustainable development goals. By enforcing mandatory traceability and accountability measures, the EUDR enables Vietnamese businesses to elevate their standards and boost their competitiveness in the global market. EU is dedicated to helping Vietnam meet its environmental goals and providing tools for building legal and sustainable supply chains.

The conference was a key milestone in Vietnam-EU cooperation, fostering a transparent and sustainable supply chain for the European market.
