On Sunday afternoon, December 21, Online Workshop No. 3: “Career Opportunities in the Net Zero Transition”, part of the YLIP 2025 program, was held in an online format, attracting a large number of students and young people interested in sustainable development and the green transition

Participating in the workshop as a guest speaker, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hue, MSc. - Project Director at KLINOVA Climate Innovation Consulting and Services and an international climate report reviewer under the UNFCCC, delivered in-depth insights into the labor market landscape as Net Zero becomes a global trend.
In her presentation, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Hue emphasized that Net Zero is not merely a climate target but a profound economic and labor transition that affects most sectors and business models. Commitments to Net Zero by governments and enterprises are directly driving strong demand for human resources in areas such as emissions reduction, green transition, ESG reporting, climate finance, carbon markets, and climate change adaptation projects.

Notably, the KLINOVA representative highlighted that this transition opens up diverse entry points for young people, including those without an environmental background. A growing number of support, internship, and entry-level positions in climate projects, green transition consulting, and emissions data management are becoming increasingly available, enabling youth to engage early in the green labor market.
Alongside the opportunities, the speaker also pointed out the specific challenges of the Net Zero field, including the need for continuously updated knowledge, high interdisciplinary requirements, and increasing competitive pressure. Accordingly, she recommended that young professionals proactively equip themselves with foundational knowledge of Net Zero, data skills, project management capabilities, and an understanding of domestic and international climate policies to enhance adaptability and long-term career development.
Through the sharing of KLINOVA’s expert, the event contributed to helping participants gain a clearer understanding of the practical career landscape within the Net Zero transition, while also providing actionable direction for young people to proactively seize opportunities in Vietnam’s green transformation process.
